Montana Moments is a review and guide site for the Flathead Valley and Glacier National Park, written by someone who actually lives here. The valley sits between the Whitefish Range and the edge of Glacier — a stretch of small towns, big lakes, and a national park that draws three million people a year. There’s no shortage of writing about this place. There is, in my experience, a shortage of writing that’s actually useful.
That’s the gap I’m trying to fill.
I’m Jerad. I’ve lived in Kalispell for years, I run a few small businesses out of here, and I spend a lot of time outdoors with my family. I’m not a travel journalist. I’m someone who’s eaten at the diner forty times, hiked the same trail in four seasons, and watched enough out-of-towners get bad advice to want to fix it.
We’ll tell you when something’s overrated. Especially the stuff with great Yelp reviews.
Written by someone who lives here year-round, not someone passing through in July.
Every review answers the questions you actually have before deciding to go.
We take suggestions from readers seriously. Especially from locals.
